The Guerin Catholic Cheerleaders gathered Tuesday December 12th to celebrate the season by making rosaries which will be given to Father Joshua Janko, the former Chaplain at Guerin Catholic who is now serving in the armed forces, to distribute to men and women in the military service. Each member of the cheer team made a rosary and wrote a note of love and encouragement to the person who will receive it. We are very grateful to the 3 members of the St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, Clo Lillig, and Dick & Kathy Stadler, who volunteered to teach the cheerleaders how to make the rosaries. Father Haan was present to bless the rosaries and to pray for those that made them and those who will receive them. Making these rosaries was a powerful reminder for the team of the debt of gratitude we owe those men & women who put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms and our very lives. After finishing the rosaries the cheer team enjoyed a cookie exchange and Secret Santa gift exchange. The Cheer team would like to wish everyone a safe & blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.
