GCWS: Ladies Win Zionsville Invite ‘Pool A’

Congratulations to the varsity ladies on winning Pool A of the Zionsville Tournament! This was a very difficult pool that consisted of Midwest perennial powers Carmel, Strongsville (OH), Tate’s Creek (KY), Sylvania Northview (OH). Other winners of the tournament pools were: Pool B- Zionsville (IN) Pool C- Avon (IN) Pool D- Mt. Notre Dame (OH)

Men’s Soccer Ranked #1 for 3rd Week

The men’s soccer team has been ranked #1 for the first 3 weeks of the regular season.  They tied Brebeuf last Saturday and will travel to Bishop Chatard on Saturday, 9/7/13 at 5:00.  Their record to date is 4-1-1.

The Men’s Tennis Team improved their record to 3 & 1 with a victory at home Tuesday against Bishop Chatard. Golden Eagles Defeat Marion 3 to 2

The men’s tennis team traveled to Marion on Tuesday, and improved their record to 2 & 1 on the season. Winning for the Golden Eagles in the deciding match was Cam Metzger at #1 singles defeating Tejas Srikanth in 3 very long, highly contested sets 7-5,3-6,7-5. At #3 singles Luke Weise defeated Korbett O’Banion 6-0,6-1.

GCWS: The Saturday Report from Fitzgerald Field

VS Brebeuf Jesuit After two long weather delays, the two JV teams battled to a 0-0 draw. The varsity contest was called to lightning just 9:53 in to the match. This contest has been rescheduled for Wednesday the 4th at 5P. The game will be played at GCHS.
